Sonic Scribblings

So, my geology professor apparently likes to put quotations on tests to keep us entertained while we’re taking them (I like clever quotations, so no complaint there.) One of the statements was quite odd, however… so I felt the need to respond accordingly.

I take the :) and ?? to mean ‘I like it, but I have no idea what you’re talking about.’ Poor fellow, he’s really missing out.



(I need to doodle on tests more often. It was quite relaxing - whenever I felt too stressed over a problem [it was a hard test!], I took a short break and worked on my drawing. Very refreshing :D)

(Also, ignore my sloppy answer. I was tired and stressed and had geology facts leaking out my ears.)

I’ve been itching to try inking something with a brush for ages, and finally did. It was quite fun, actually (in a challenging sort of way), but I sure as heck wouldn’t want to ink a whole comic that way. It’d take me forever, besides the fact that I’d probably screw up every other panel.

Here’s hoping this is more than just wishful thinking!

(Is short hair socially acceptable among Middle-earth elves? If not, oh well. Drawing messy-haired Tennant is too much fun.)

So, I was looking at the full-size image of my icon earlier today and literally burst out laughing. I knew something was off with the hand, but for the life of me couldn’t figure out what it was - until a little while ago.

I promise, I really only have five fingers on each hand, not six :) (If you want to be technical, four fingers plus a thumb.)

I’ll leave up the old one for kicks and giggles (and as a reminder to myself of what happens when I draw too late at night!), but here’s the updated, accurate version (touched up some other stuff that was bothering me as well, so blessing in disguise, eh?)


No wonder the good Doctor’s rolling his eyes.

At some point, in all three of my top favorite shows, the main character(s) uses a water pistol as a weapon. TRUFAX.

I just have awesome taste, that’s all.




(‘Nother paper illustration that I fortunately had the foresight to scan before I inked and markered it. Didn’t like how the version for my paper turned out, so I took the sketch into Photoshop. Voilá!)
